Our Blackheath (Cape Town) based client is looking to appoint a Programmer experienced with robotics. Only candidates already in the Western Cape will be considered.
Requirements
Draughting Diploma
Min 5 years’ technical drawing office experience in light steel metal fabrication
Proficient in MS Office and SolidWorks
Sound knowledge of stainless steel, aluminium and alusteel
Excellent written and verbal skills
High attention to detail
Able to delegate and supervise staff
Sound admin, planning, organising and controlling skills
Valid driver’s license
Working Hours
Monday - Thursday: 08:00 - 16:30
Friday: 08:00 - 16:00
Over time may be required

Responsibilities
Generate technical drawings for internal manufacturing and external suppliers
Manage technical systems
Program, nest and operation robotic machines
Create flat patterns for production
Design tools and develop new products / equipment (R & D)
Assist sales teams and clients with equipment details
Maintain and create equipment manuals, brochures and documentation
Support production with development and engineering concepts
Assist with ISO implementation
Prepare reports and presentations for technicians and management
